Floor Prep: We took up the carpet. Upstairs needed a flood coat. A flood coat is put over the timber to create an even surface.
Chosen Flooring Product(s): Polyflor Expona Commercial Colour “Savannah” customer had carpet installed on stairs.
Why Vinyl Planks? Customer had used them previously and loved the reliability and durability of the planks.

Challenges We Overcame
- Customer was concerned about the sound traveling from upstairs to down. We installed the timber on a rubber acoustic underlay giving them the sound reduction needed to live comfortably in their home.
- Customer required the installation as soon as the building was finished so they could move to their new home as soon as possible. We communicated and shifted the work to suit their builders timeline.
- Carpet was installed in the bedrooms. Carpet will be more cost effective for these rooms, a more uniformed temperature in the room, and because they chose wool it will reduce humidity in the rooms.
